Luxury self catering or fully catered guest house in the heart of the Kosi bay catchment area. Close to serene beaches, well stocked game parks and stunning lakes. Thobeka house offers comfortable accommodation for the business person or for those with time to burn.

There is one double room, one single room and a landing room for overflow guests. The bathroom is on the groundfloor and is shared, normally by friends and occassionally by one other person if you are on business. The house is fully equipped and furnished. The only thing you need to bring are your towels, however if you forget we will be happy to oblige. Smoking is regretfully not allowed in the house, but there is more than enough space on the balcony or patio area.

The house boasts a cool salt water pool that will relieve you on those tropical days and evenings. Satelite TV is available in the lounge and all the rooms are fitted with fans. Views from the upstaire deck and the patio area are breathtaking, giving uninterupted sunset views and night time star gazing. The extensive gardens have many hideaways where you will be able to be alone with your book or thoughts.

The beaches and game parks are a 20 minute drive away, and if you don't have a 4x4, we will be glad to take you on a memorable excursion where you will be amazed at the beauty of this paradise. We look forward to welcoming you to the laid back Kosi lifestyle.

Set among indigenous trees in a serene sub tropical environment with landscaped gardens, Thobeka house offers a home from home with well appointed bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen and a bathroom with a shower to die for. The lounge area is furnished with comfortable sofas and an entertainment area including satellite television.

Come outside onto the patio that opens up to a pool and barbecue deck with a fire pit for those nights when you want to relax with your friends and family gazing into an open fire. The salt chlorinated pool offers an escape from the many warm days that northern Kwa-Zulu Natal is famous for, and in summer or winter you will find yourself needing to cool off from time to time.

Upstairs is a huge viewing deck where sun downers are a must and long evenings are spent trying to catch a glimpse of a shooting star. What ever you do at Thobeka house, you will leave feeling refreshed and invigorated, and that's even before you get to some of the magnificent beaches, well stocked game parks and extensive lake system that Kosi bay boasts.

Thobeka is the Zulu word for humility, and not that the owner is particularly humble, but a number of months ago I met a little orphan girl whose name is Thobeka, and I promised her that I would name my place after her because I was so impressed by her warmth and peacefulness, the two things that Thobeka is famous for.
